February 26, 2008 - Membership Mardi Gras Party - Bring only ONE PIECE OF ART (awards for three catagories - 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, and jewelry), make a costume (award for best costume), bring a dish to pass, see art books donated to three area libraries, eat great food (A birthday cake for ART and refreshments will be supplied), meet your Board members, and celebrate ART's 6th year as an outstanding visual arts organization.

 A.R.T. has hosted many different
programs that relate to art and creativity. Our monthly program
might be a demonstration on painting techniques, a clay workshop,
creative jewelry assembly, stained glass production, a silk
painting workshop, photography techniques, how to get creative
and inspired workshops, or mask making, just to name a few! ART also organizes members to take part
in public art venues and displays as part of your membership.
Our Small Works Juried Art Show
in April, held at the Inwood National Bank, has acquired a
reputation of being an art show of excellance on a small scale.
The show gives members an opportunity to show and sell their
art, and possibly be awarded cash prizes.
Our Fall Arts Tour around Lake
Ray Hubbard is a chance for the public to see artists in their
studios, and also gives members another venue to sell their
art.
Area libraries, such as the Rockwall
County Library, Rowlett Public Library, also exhibited our
members work at varied city celebrations, and various times
through out the year.
